A year ago or maybe more, I told you about wine crates. I waxed some of them with an asphalt patina but forgot about the leftovers as I didn't know what to do with them...

My intention was to combine crates and drawers but didn't want to overload the wall space so I changed my mind and finally made different projects for three rooms:
Once painted I applied a waterproof clear coat. I wallpapered the bottom, painted the other crates with contrast tones and fixed them all to the wall.
I did the same with the drawers I got from the kitchen cabinet when the island was released. A simple piece of fabric inspired me for the final colors: a Barcelona orange and black chalk board paint. Fabric has been stuck with silicone and I fixed small hooks to hang earrings and bracelets.

I fixed a waxed crate on the wall as rollpaper storage; unscrewed the paper holder and fit it back into the drawer. Finally, I reused a piece of wood from the paint color chart I made here and stenciled the WASH word on it.

Love this idea !! How would this work with small plastic containers?
