Hi there,
I would like to share with you today my very first experience with MMSMP.
There are thousand paint brands on the market and they all have pros and cons... I love experiencing with ALL types and kind of paint because I just love it. Once I test and like the result I use a brand or another depending the project I am working on. I normally use A. Sloan chalk paint for most of my projects as it has a great power of covering the whole piece and aging effects are just amazing when combined with wax.
Milk paint is popular in Northern America but it has recently come to Spain and we now have Chus Cano, our official supplier for Spain and Portugal so it's great! Chus is high profile refurbisher, furniture conservator for more than 3 decades and has her own show on digital TV.
I have tested milk paint on few wood pieces and inside my kitchen hutch (also my tester). First of all I love the product presentation and how easy to use is. Depending on the base you get the chippy effect quite fast. I was also surprised about how amount of paint you get with only 1 spoon! I could paint 3 coats on every single piece: 3 nightstand drawers and a TV console for my guest bedroom project. I used clear wax on the top.
Hemp oil is also great to protect the piece; I used it on my Mum's vintage coffee grinder.
