Hey, how is everything?
After being soooooo inactive for a few months I am back to keep on blogging a little bit. However I won't have too much time left as I used to have these past years but you can always follow me on my Facebook profile.
The playroom is eventually done. I am so proud of it as it has been a 100% low cost project. I would have liked to be posted a while ago but it hasn't been possible so far. The most important thing is to have the children happy enjoying it and I know they do!
I have to thank good friends for being so nice and collaborative when we had to hang drawers, shelves and organizing the room; it has been a great help.
This project has been quite interrupted in many ways but this is what happens when you create a recycled and repurposed project from 0.
I found a desk passing by a trash container; it was in a good shape but was too heavy for me to get in the car so I could only take the drawers for painting them. The desk was gone when I came back later!

This large artwork was rescued from a house as it was no longer part of the decor. When they brought it to me at the workshop I thought it would be perfect for a large board on the wall. I painted the whole thing with the almost black from La Pajarita.
Two coats of paint and 2 coats of varnish were necessary; the result was great!
Friends of mine were there to help and fix everything and we had a lot of fun.
The playroom is now finished and very functional. Every single piece has been reused and the kids are very happy.
