This is a great makeover I want to share with you today!
I have a standing mirror for years... I was no longer happy to see it around but did not want to get rid off it, of course! It's the perfect mirror which fits in any corner or at the end of a hallway.
As I said I couldn't stand for its look anymore and have been thinking how could I turn it into something more... "my own style".
And so the inspiration came, probably browsing Pinterest for hours(!) and I started this new project.
Being against the wall since ever I removed the hinges as they were useless.
I cut some planks of wood from a pallet and prepared the painting work. I had to primer the existing wood and apply walnut stain to change the pallet pieces. I soft waxed and stuck all of them on the mirror and left the clamps overnight. As industrial touch I aged a few connecting fittings and varnished them to prevent rust.
Regarding the paint, I used chalk paint and then wax on top. Tutorial and images as follow...
